ತಾಯಿಯೂ ನೀನೆ, ಕಂದಮ್ಮನೂ ನೀನೆ

 

ತಾಯಿಯೂ ನೀನೆ ಕಂದಮ್ಮನೂ ನೀನೆ

ತೊಟ್ಟಿಲಲಿ ನಗುವ ಮುದ್ದು ಮಗುವೂ ನೀನೆ

ತಂಗಿಯೂ ನೀನೆ ಹಿರಿಯಕ್ಕನೂ ನೀನೆ

ಕೈಮುಗಿದು ನಮಿಸುವ ಜಗನ್ಮಾತೆಯೂ ನೀನೆ

ಮಡಿಲ ಮೇಲೇರಿ ಆಡುವ ಕೂಸೂ ನೀನೆ

ಲೋಕವ ಕಿರುಬೆರಳ ಮೇಲಾಡಿಸುವವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಗಿರಗಿಟಲೆಯ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಕಿಲಕಿಲ ನಗುವವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಗರಿಕೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ರಾವಣನ ಹೆಡೆಮುರಿದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಶಿವಧನುಸನು ಎಡಗೈಲೆತ್ತಿದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಕೋದಂಡಪಾಣಿ ಧನುಸು ಮುರಿಯಬಿಟ್ಟವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಕಾಂಚನ ಮೃಗಕೆ ಮೋಹಹೋದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಮೋಹದಿಳಿಯ ಜಗಕರ್ಥೈಸಿದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಮಿಥಿಲೆಯಲಿ ಜೊತೆ ನಡೆದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಘೋರಾರಣ್ಯದಿ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಡೆದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಲಂಕೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನಡೆದವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಸಹಧರ್ಮಿಣಿ ನೀನೆ ಬೆಂಗಾವಲು ನೀನೆ ರಕ್ಷೆಯೂ ನೀನೆ

ದೇವಿಯೂ ನೀನೆ ದಿವ್ಯವೂ ನೀನೆ

ಬೆಳಕೂ ನೀನೆ ಬೆಳಗುವವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಸ್ತುತಿಯೂ ನೀನೆ ಸ್ತುತಿಪಾತ್ರಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ಪೂಜೆಯೂ ನೀನೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಯೂ ನೀನೆ

ರಾಮನೂ ನೀನೆ ರಾಮಾಯಣವೂ ನೀನೆ

ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಕಥೆ ಬರೆಯುವವಳೂ ನೀನೆ

ರಾಮಾಯಣದಿ ರಾಮನ ಸಲಹಿದವಳು ನೀನೆ

ಇಹಸಾಗರದ ಉಸುಬಿನಿಂದೀ ರಾಮನ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವಳೂ ನೀನೆ.

You are the mother, you are the child

 

You are the mother, child too are you

The gurgling babe in the cradle, you are that too

You are the loving little sister, you are the strict elder

You are that progenitor of the universe, to whom I lift my hands in worship

You are the infant that plays in the lap

You are the one who twirls the worlds around your little finger

You are the one who spins the rattle with childish laughter

You are the one who broke Ravana’s pride with a blade of grass

You are the one who lifted Shiva’s bow with your left hand

You are the one who let Kodandapani (Rama) break the bow

You are the one who desired the golden deer

You are the one who explains to the world the slippery slope that desires are

You are the one who walked alongside in Mithila

You are the one who walked behind in the dense forest

You are the one who walked ahead to Lanka

You are the sahadharmini, you protect the vanguard, you take dangers head on

You are divine, divinity too you are

You are the light, you are the one who lights

You are the praise, praiseworthy too are you

You are worship, you are devotion too

You are Rama, you are Ramayana too

You write the story (fate) of beings

You took care of Rama in the Ramayana

You are the one who protects me, Rama, from the quagmire of this material world.
